What’s included in the Green Comet embroidery kit?

Everything you need to begin embroidering a bespoke Green Comet cover (or wall art).

• Printed fabric 70% cotton/30% linen
• 12 skeins of DMC embroidery floss, and 1 reel Diamant
• 2 needles (1 x embroidery; 1 x tapestry)
• 6 inch hoop (approx 15cm)

Cushion pad not included. Fits a king pillow 90 x 50 cm

Please note, you will need to buy more thread to complete embroidering the Green Comet kit. The chosen palette is printed in your guide book. How many more of each colour will depend on your colour preferences, stitch choices, and the density with which you embroider the design.

About the ‘Green Comet’ cushion / wall art kit

The ‘Green Comet’ embroidery kit includes the supplies you need to create a bespoke embroidered cushion (or wall art). Featuring a beautiful large comet, surrounded by intricate unique star designs, and tiny accent stars.

The palette includes luxurious greens, blues, yellows and golds, with calming accents of creams and sand. The colours make elegant and surprising combinations.

What about your experience level in embroidery? You may be wondering this! And is so! That’s a really good question. As with each of the Yelling Tree Press embroidery kits, the outline design is printed on the canvas. You just need to decide which type(s) of stitches you wish to use, and which colours to put where. That’s still a whole heap of creative decisions. But it’s easier than it seems.

Beginner or experienced, you could choose to stitch the kit using just running or straight stitches and it would look absolutely stunning. Or you can decide as you go along to add in additional stitch types too. In the printed embroidery guide with the kit, we include a specially chosen selection – perfect for filling in areas and outlining as well.
