Everything you need to embroider a bespoke Interstellar Comet cushion cover (or wall art).
- Printed fabric 70% cotton/30% linen
- 8 skeins of DMC embroidery floss
- 2 needles (1 x embroidery; 1 x tapestry)
- 6 inch hoop (15 cm approx)
- Embroidery kit instruction booklet, with helpful practical details and illustrated stitch instructions
- Fabric for the cushion back
- Durable project box
Cushion pad not included (fits a 45 x 45 cm or 40 x 40 cushion pad, depending on how plump you prefer your cushion).
How long does the Interstellar Comet embroidery kit take to embroider?
The Interstellar Comet kit would take between 10 & 60 hours, depending on how detailed you’d like to make it, and how fast you sew.
About the Interstellar Comet cushion / wallart kit
Interstellar Comet 3I/ATLAS is currently winging its way through our solar system, and the design of the Interstellar Comet design pays homage to this vast and mysterious ancient visitor. The palette of embroidery threads in the kit is inspired by the latest space photography from the Gemini Observatory – pictures which depict the light captured in bright greens, reds, purples and pinks. Is this embroidery kit right for you?
Good question. Well the kit is suitable for many levels of embroiderer – whether you’ve never sewn before, or whether you’re a stellar stitcher seeking a bit of inspiration.
You could, for instance, embroider the design entirely in running stitch (you know just straight stitches), and it would be … simply smashing.
